Finding the right answer shouldn’t depend on guessing the exact wording used in a document.

The hardest part of “good documentation” is rarely reading it. The hardest part is writing it — consistently, clearly, and fast enough to keep up with real work.

Some things are simply faster to show than to explain. You can write a long SOP, but when a workflow involves multiple clicks, edge cases, or a “feel” for the UI, people still get stuck.

Most teams don’t fail because they have no documentation. They fail because documentation quietly becomes wrong. A workflow changes, a button moves, an exception rule gets updated — and the SOP that used to be correct turns into a liability.

Most teams don’t have a “documentation problem.” They have a visibility problem. Even if you want to build a reliable knowledge base, the hardest question is: What should we document first?

A lot of operational mistakes don’t happen because people are careless — they happen because the UI changed, a workflow is unfamiliar, or a new teammate is doing it for the first time. Traditional documentation doesn’t help much in that moment.

Some of the most expensive knowledge in a company isn’t a step-by-step process — it’s the reason behind a decision.

We’ve made a major upgrade to the Maverto Chrome extension — it’s now even better at solving a simple but expensive problem: the knowledge your team needs is rarely where the work actually happens. Imagine you’re a new hire.
